Mothers Blessing
The transition from maiden to mother is one of the greatest, and most transformative experiences in a woman’s life. When we go through major life events without marking them appropriately, we lose the opportunity to anchor that moment in our experience.
A Mother’s Blessing can be in addition to a more commonly held ‘baby shower’. It can take its place or it can be integrated into a baby shower too. The ceremony itself is used as an opportunity to both honour the mother and her transition into motherhood. It can also be used to educate her village. Different to a baby shower where generally the parents-to-be host a social gathering and celebrate their little one arriving soon with gifts and well wishes.
This celebration brings together a mother’s nearest and dearest, a small group of up to 13 people is best. Where the mother to be is showered in love, her cup is filled with confidence, admiration and solidarity as she awaits the birth of her baby.
The experience is approximately 2.5 hours, where we facilitate a personalised ceremony following the traditional values held within a Mothers Blessing, for the modern mother. Rituals including showering the mother in love, writing positive affirmations for birth and postpartum, grounding and meditations, red thread honouring our matrilineal line and the rite of passage the mother is about to embark.
The ceremony is a beautiful gathering of community, a reflection of the journey that is birthing the mother, and a way to celebrate the transition from maiden to mother, while calling in the love and support needed to move through this epic season.

Travel time (within 30 mins of Greensborough)
Managing personalised invitations and guest communication
Set up and Pack down, usually 30 mins before the ceremony begins
All resources and tools for the ceremony and rituals on the day, each guest taking something special away
Post event check in via email/text
